I saw this initially on Marie Claire's UK magazine when I decided to ask my dad to buy me this from France when he was on a business trip.
I won't deny it, just like every girl, I have many black eye pencils and this was just added on to the collection. Ok, now I am not boasting here, I am just only stating a fact that I cannot still find the darkest shade of black in Kohl liners, yet. As an attempt to find a dark one, and as the name suggests, this is just a soft black and not something that is very bold or dark. Which I didn't realize until I got it.

The Estee Lauder eye pencil comes in a sleek dark blue packaging with a gold lid. This eye pencil usually comes with a smudge brush, in dual ended, one side is the liner and the other side is just a generic blending sponge tip. From the name I thought I can smudge this one and use for a smokey eye look but no, it is just the name of the shade and nothing to do with the effect. This eye pencil is completely smudge proof but on applying a thick line gives a smudged effect. I feel this makes the work simpler and easier.
I use it on my upper lash line, lower lash line and also my water line. If you want a light black color on your eyes then this is the one for you. Nothing too harsh (since not all of us suits them a black color in the waterline).
Swatch: from the left, one swipe swatch. On the Right, two swipes |
