More than a year ago, before I first got the 217, I had not thought that I would ever need a second of the exact same brush. I am not a fan of M.A.C makeup or its brushes, and I honestly own very, very few M.A.C brushes. I just have never been sucked into the M.A.C world quite as much as some. Yet today, I own a second same brush, and it is from M.A.C.
On left, is M.A.C 224 Brush ($53), and on right, is M.A.C 217 Brush ($39). |
I have not started using the M.A.C 224 because I do have a number of brushes similar to it. But it does feels really, really good on the fingers!
I have to admit that the price for a 224 is a little ridiculous, and I completely understand why Sigma is such a relief to many people.
The 217 is kind of costly too, but after using the 217 for quite a long while, and owning so many other blending brushes, I do think that the 217 is hands-down the best blending brush.

I basically use the 217 for my entire eye look, unless it gets too dirty, then I will pick up another brush.

It's really just love, love, love towards the M.A.C 217, that I need more than one. I think I may even someday pick up a third and forth one. I guess, that means the 217 is in my Holy Grail now! =D
What about you? Do you buy exact sames when it comes to brushes? Or do you think one of everything, really, truly is enough? If you own a twin of a brush, which one is it?
