There has been a recent spate of fanaticism about flower hairbands, and I, being a flower lover, who never fails to spot pretty floral dresses when strolling malls, can't help but get attracted to it. So far, I only a couple of flower accessories, even though I like them. Reason being, most of them are rather loud and exaggerated, but I like to remain practical, and only choose pieces that can be worn easily everyday. Quite a sad case, considering the extent to which I am drawn to flower accessories.
So yes, the point of this post is just to talk about a pushcart at Subang Parade selling very, very, very real flower accessories. They have ALL sorts of hair accessories, from hairbands of different pattern, to crocodile clips of different patterns!!, to tiny clips, hair ties, necklace, rings, earrings. And all made to look very real, be it the foam type, ceramic handmade!!! (<3) type, real dried flowers, or cloth. The colours are so vibrant and life-like, I always have to stop and browse every time I pass by.
Prices are reasonable enough if compared to accessories shop in Singapore, like Diva, Aldo Accessories, Accessorize (which is crazy and stupid, evil ang moh boss, imo), and ranges from 3 for RM10 for small rings, earrings and fringe clips, to RM25.90/29.90 for large wedding-worthy real flowers of roses and orchids.
The ring that I bought (below), is handmade from clay (can see the fingerprints, lol), and costs RM29.90. A tad less than S$15, very worth it, since this is cheaper than larger and nicer rings from Diva.
(Diva is already one of the more affordable, in fact, I would say, low end accessories shop, other than Six, in Singapore. For its trendy designs and comprehensive range, this is the place to go. Accessories from something like Dorothy Perkins would be a real ripoff, at a few tens of dollars per item. I am saying all these because by and by, accessories still come from China at the moment, how high can the cost price get? This is not a dig at labour in China, it's more like a protest against evil ang moh bosses. Don't want to debate about doing business here. No point since my blog is not about econs, but all things pretty AND value (quality) for money.)
haha, I feel like going back for more... I really do think the real flowers clips are wedding-worthy. Super lovely and exaggerated enough for the day.
PS: I think the photos in my handphone are trapped for good. At the current state, I am unable to transfer files. =( Current photos are going to be new from my camera.
The colour on my nails is Skinfood. =))) Not sure if it's anything like OPI famous Waitress-red, but it sure is a nice rich red wine colour. Very happy with Skinfood. This range is only $4.90. Yet another bargain nail polish found. I think the $4.90 range is a lot better than the blue $7.90 one... Thinner with equally deep texturized colour.
